For Oracle I may can suggest to use Oracle tracing facilities.

Every dove server establishes its own connection to Oracle, so if the defect is reproducible - traces could be switched ON
before the test, recorded and analyzed afterwards.

Traces could be turned ON from some advanced DBA tool (like TOAD, SQL Navigator, Enterprise Manager etc) or from sqlplus
using command like below: 

dbms_system.set_ev (si number, - sid
 se number, --serial,
 ev number, -- event = 10046
 le number, -- level 8 or 12,
 nm  varchar2 -- action name)

(values for "sid" and "se" could be retrieved from v$sessions view).

Trace files may not contain information about locks (only deadlocks if  they have happen) - depending of how these traces
were configured. 
Lock details can be retrieved from the database at the moment while they are exists by querying v$locks, v$locked_objects
and so on.
 
The statement that I proposed in previous responce will force traces files to include "waits" (if le=8) or
"waits and bind variables values" (if le=12). One more way to get tracing info is described in attached Metalink doc.
