DHCP:

ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0
    remove the IP address
ifconfig eth0:0
    ???

service isc-dhcp-server start
  start a DHCP server (dhcpd)
  (/etc/init.d/...)

dhclient -v eth0
  send DHCPDISCOVER req
  get  DHCPOFFER from all the DHCP servers
  then - DHCPREQUEST
  and    DHCPACK

ip addres send for some period of time (but remembers at the cache)
